Ulyana Atwood designs garments for various aspects of life: office wear for business meetings, casual outfits for walks and travel, cocktail options for dates and social events. The brand emphasizes not only beauty but also the practicality and durability of its clothing, ensuring that each piece is functional and long-lasting.

Brand History

Yana Abeldinova launched Ulyana Atwood in 2015, initially focusing on handmade knitted items. The brand quickly gained a loyal customer base through word-of-mouth. As the brand grew, so did its offerings. By 2021, Ulyana Atwood had opened its own sewing workshop, evolving from a knitwear focus to a full range of seasonal clothing suitable for all occasions.

Item from the brand you’d wear all the time?
We create our pieces based on our personal taste and preferences, so it’s hard to single out just one. However, recently, our short and long coats have become favorites
Item you’d pass down to your grandchildren with the words: “Let this remind you of me”?
It's difficult to answer this without having children yet. But perhaps it would be a book. One day, I plan to write a book detailing my journey and sharing the wisdom accumulated over the years, hoping it will make their lives easier
Least favorite part of the fashion process?
Favorite part? I enjoy all stages of creating collections. The only “least favorite” part might be when reality doesn't meet expectations, but luckily, this happens rarely, and we learn from our mistakes
Historical or literary character you’d make the face of your brand?
Elizabeth Bennet from Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice." I love this character and have read the novel many times. For me, Elizabeth embodies femininity and a strong character. She knows her worth and doesn’t compromise, which aligns with the values we infuse into our products
Fragrance that best represents your brand?
We are currently developing a signature scent for the brand. It should reflect our commitment to quality and naturalness. When I think of Ulyana Atwood, I imagine the smell of freshly cut grass, roses in gardens, forest wood, and coffee. It’s invigorating and stimulating. I believe we’ll create something unique and present it soon
Ideal location in the Urals for a collection photoshoot?
I haven’t been on location shoots for a while, but I remember how exciting it was to travel with the team. The Urals are beautiful, especially in summer. We’d be delighted to capture its stunning landscapes
Most challenging aspect of creating a new collection?
Choosing the right and high-quality fabric for each garment. Finding good raw materials at a reasonable price amidst a sea of synthetics is quite challenging. Another difficulty is finalizing samples without further changes. Sometimes, we can get so caught up in perfecting a piece that we feel like giving up, but these are fleeting moments!
Advice you’d give yourself at the beginning of your journey?
Don’t listen to others. Believe in yourself and your abilities. You’re amazing and unique. You don’t need to be liked by everyone. The greatest strength and support in any endeavor is believing in yourself, no matter what

If you could collaborate with any celebrity or character, who would it be?
Princess Diana. I admire her style and how she presented herself. I think we’d create something extraordinary together!
What will change fashion in the near future?
I hope for a shift toward conscious consumption. We should stop endlessly filling our wardrobes with unnecessary items. Fashion is very fleeting, and I don’t pay much attention to it. I support eco-friendly consumption and plan to focus on this within my brand soon
