Brand DNA

High-class bespoke tailoring, simple and clear service, generous loyalty system, style and image consultations.

Concept

Tailor4man, located in Yekaterinburg, creates premium men's and women's business and formal wear at reasonable prices. The brand caters to pragmatists who understand quality clothing but do not wish to compromise with factory cuts or overpay for unnecessary options. Tailor4man collaborates with leading manufacturers of suit, shirt, and coat fabrics, offering clients a broad selection and reasonable costs.

Brand History

The atelier was established in Yekaterinburg in 2016 as a branch of a St. Petersburg atelier, originally working with made-to-measure technology. Within the first year, a decision was made to create a new brand. For Ilya, the founder of Tailor4man, this project was a fashion experiment due to his lack of experience in the industry. After a month, realizing the need for education and expertise, he began learning from a professional tailor, mastering the Müller & Sohn drafting system, and immersing himself in the profession. Today, Ilya manages the atelier with his wife Natalia. Their clientele includes unique and successful individuals in Yekaterinburg for whom image is a key component of success.

Blitz

Best time of day for creativity?
Morning, if I can set aside urgent tasks and focus on non-urgent but important matters
Ideal place for creativity?
A lighthouse, lakeside, or mountains
Brand item you’d want to wear all the time?
I enjoy variety. What I really don’t take off is a watch, but that’s not our brand
Item you’d pass on to your grandchildren with the words: "Let this remind you of me"?
A good narrow silk tie
Part of the fashion process you like least/most?
I love gathering requirements. It’s the process where we discover what the client wants and what internal needs they aim to address with our clothing. We view bespoke tailoring as a form of self-expression. Each custom order is a story about a person—about their life plans, themselves, relationships, and their level of protection. Communicating with clients often makes you their friend, psychologist, or even doctor, as our recommendations are sometimes quite assertive
Which historical or literary character would you make the face of your brand?
Jude Law’s character from "The Talented Mr. Ripley."
Fragrance that best represents your brand?
I imagine sitting in a castle by the fireplace, ending the day and planning new ones. The crackling fire and the scent of burning wood
In which ideal location in the Urals would you hold a collection photoshoot?
Koltsovo Airport: the international terminal or the runway
What is the hardest part of creating a new collection?
The hardest part is staying true to oneself while observing how major fashion trends change. Fashion dictates new colors, textures, and solutions, and it can be tempting to introduce something "new" into our models to keep up. However, it is crucial to discard these ideas because business and formal wear is about tradition and consistency, solutions that worked 100 years ago and will continue to work for many more years. This is the core of our philosophy
What advice would you give yourself at the start of your journey?
Get professional education from practitioners as quickly as possible and visit tailoring schools or ateliers in the UK or France
What single word best describes your brand?
Pragmatic
If you could collaborate with any celebrity (or character), who would it be?
Dr. Hannibal Lecter, who has repented
What will change fashion in the near future?
Digital technologies are significantly changing fashion. Suits that were once hand-sewn are now made by machines controlled by computer programs. I believe digital technologies will introduce more variety, help create new forms and solutions, and produce materials that keep garments in perfect condition longer
