La Petite Lucie

Founder: Lyudmila Rudakova

Brand DNA

Everyday and festive clothing with a French aesthetic for girls aged 3 to 8 years. Premium cotton, velvet, lace, timeless silhouettes, and perfect compatibility of models.

Concept

The inspiration for creating the brand came from the French "adult" style of children's clothing, resulting in sophisticated looks that create the atmosphere of country life. La Petite Lucie produces models in small drops using fabrics from Italian stock and complements them with handmade elements. All clothing is certified for quality.

Brand History

The brand's story began in 2023 during Lyudmila's second maternity leave, after which she didn't want to return to her job as a lawyer. Inspired by the example of other successful Russian brands that dared to pursue their dreams, she decided to start doing what she loved—creating children's clothing. The brand was guided by European brands with understated, minimalist cuts and impeccable quality of seams and materials.

Lyudmila completed courses on starting her own brand and launched it from scratch. Her plans include building a community of like-minded people around the brand, opening a flagship store, and expanding the product line.

Ideal place for creativity?
Nature. When you walk in the forest in the summer, picking berries or mushrooms, or rowing on a lake, your mind is freed from daily concerns, making room for creativity to flourish
Music track that inspires creativity?
I usually just hum whatever comes to mind. I love pop music, especially songs whose lyrics I understand and know by heart—often songs from my youth. I really enjoy light modern French music with a country style. It's in this style that I design clothes. This music mentally transports me to distant Provence and envelops me in the scent of lavender
Item from the brand you'd want to wear continuously?
My daughter adores our merino wool suits and the elegant black velvet dress with a lace collar
What item would you pass on to your grandchildren with the words: "Let this remind you of me"?
A dress with hand embroidery on smocking, embellished with beads from our new summer collection
Least favorite part of the fashion process?
Finances. It's hard to sit down and calculate the cost of a product, the cost of the collection, or determine the retail price. It's even more difficult to plan all this in advance and stay within the budget
Which historical or literary character would you make the face of your brand?
Recently, my daughter and I read "Manyunya." We really enjoyed the book: it's light and fun, just the way we like it! Manyunya, with her spontaneity, could easily be a character in my brand
What fragrance best matches your brand?
Freshly cut grass
Ideal location in the Urals for a collection shoot?
Any fields and meadows. We have many beautiful locations for outdoor shoots: blooming rapeseed fields in summer, apple orchards and haystacks in August, many beautiful lakes in the Chelyabinsk region, and an interesting location called Ural Mars in Bogdanovich. Winter is more difficult: I love outdoor shoots, but we have a harsh climate. We often have to resort to studios
Most challenging part of creating a new collection?
Choosing from the many fabrics and models
One word to describe your brand?
Aesthetics
If you could collaborate with any celebrity or character, who would it be?
The symbol of my brand is the ladybug. The most famous ladybug in Russia is Mila from "Luntik." If the character from the cartoon dressed in my brand's clothes, I would be thrilled!
