Dragonfly
Brand DNA
Dragonfly offers clothing and gear for active recreation and sports. Each model is distinguished by thoughtful style and functionality, impeccable manufacturing quality, and innovative technologies. The company produces ski, snowboard, snowmobile, ATV, and motorcycle gear, as well as clothing for active leisure.
Concept
Dragonfly stands for not only high quality but also modern style. Since 2016, the appearance of the gear has been overseen by an Italian design studio led by Danilo Kuzvesov (formerly a designer at the Ferrari style centre).
Dragonfly uses only quality materials in its production. They collaborate with factories that manufacture membrane fabrics, selecting appropriate compositions, densities, textures, membrane properties, and exterior coatings for different products. The brand has years of reliable partnerships with Japanese and South Korean manufacturers. Most of the products are made in Yekaterinburg. The company's production facilities currently include its own design department, a workshop with automated embroidery equipment, a workshop with high-precision laser cutting equipment (using a unique technology for producing membrane-type fabric clothing), a workshop with updated seam sealing equipment, and much more. Dragonfly's products are supplied to over 70 cities in Russia through 130 dealers and are also shipped to CIS countries.
Brand History
The company Dragonfly (from the English word for "dragonfly") was founded by Maksim and Alexandra Soboleva in 2011. The idea to sew sportswear came to them when they acquired motor vehicles. Upon visiting a shop for balaclavas, they were surprised by the prices for these relatively simple items. Alexandra, being a fashion designer by education, decided to make a balaclava herself. The first few samples were not good, but over time, the quality improved so much that the Sobolevs launched a small workshop and began selling balaclavas, and later raincoats, through their online store and motorcycle shops.
In 2015, the Sobolevs sold their share to Viktor Utkin, who has been the company's CEO since then.
After 13 years of meticulous work, Dragonfly's product range includes over 250 items. Annually, around 250,000 finished products are released from production.
