Avgvst

Founder: Natalya Bryantseva

Brand DNA

Minimalism elevated to the absolute, silver, gold, and gemstones, pure lines, and the essence of jewellery as talismans.

Concept

Jewellery for those who don’t wear jewellery — this simple concept reflects a design genius in simplicity. Avgvst embodies beauty and disorder like graffiti gently wrapping around the stucco of an old building: a fusion of the old and the new, museum classics and subculture. Avgvst represents a “polite rebellion” of adulthood and the childlike wonder at colored glass. It is a brand of opposites that come together until an electric spark ignites.

Brand History

Natalya Bryantseva opened her first store in her hometown of Yekaterinburg in 2016, naming the brand after Pasternak’s poem "August." Soon after, the brand’s jewellery began selling in Moscow’s TSUM. Today, Avgvst boasts 6 “yellow” stores (2 of which are in Almaty and Berlin), where you can not only purchase jewelry but also enjoy a special coffee, get a tattoo, or pierce.

Renowned designer and architect Harry Nuriyev developed the distinctive design. The brand’s unique feature is its entirely Russian production: each piece is handcrafted with minerals sourced from Russia. In 2020, the brand launched two major projects outside the jewellery world. The first is a mobile app called "What to Talk About Before August" — a card game designed to help better understand loved ones and start important conversations. The second is a collaboration with MiF Publishing, resulting in a series of planners for those who love their work. The brand is also known for its loud collaborations with prominent visionaries such as journalist Alyona Doletskaya, artist Protey Temen, and musician Delfin.
