Breath of the North
Nina Ruchkina’s fashion house has launched a limited collection of scarves inspired by journeys to the North Pole.
In collaboration with the “Polar Travel Club,” silk scarves have been created featuring the world’s largest and most powerful icebreaker, 50 Let Pobedy, as well as landscapes of Greenland and the Svalbard archipelago in the Arctic Ocean.
“The serene reflections of the polar lights, the cold surface of the water, and white bears on ice floes convey a mood of calm and tranquillity. The richness of Arctic fauna is illustrated with images of whales, walruses, and corner medallions depicting puffins, Arctic terns, seals, and swordfish. The colour palette is diversified with shimmering highlights reminiscent of a mosaic of iridescent shades. An intricate golden frame completes the composition and makes the scarf’s drape especially striking,” says the fashion house about the Arctica scarf.
