Live Broadcast: “How to Watch and Understand Fashion Shows Properly?”

2 p.m.
As part of the International Fashion Week UF LAB, which will take place in Yekaterinburg from August 19 to 23, five fashion shows featuring Russian and international designers will be held. Offline attendance will be available for a select group of people. Online broadcasts will be organized for everyone interested.
The shows will feature designers from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, South Africa, brands from across Russia, and, of course, Ural-based labels. Most of them are experienced participants in the international fashion market, having presented their collections on the runways of Milan, Dubai, and New York.
A fashion show is a performance involving many people – directors, designers, and models. However, the main character of the event is not them but the clothes. These clothes are carefully chosen and combined into cohesive looks to deliver the creator’s idea.
- How can you learn to understand what designers are trying to tell us?
- What do all those silhouettes, textures, and accessory choices mean?
- What do fashion industry professionals see in shows, and what conclusions do they draw?
- How can you take inspiration from shows and incorporate their ideas into everyday life?
Let’s discuss this during the live broadcast.
Our guests, entrepreneur Anna Panacheva (HARD) and designer Nazym Karpikova (ARUNAZ), will help us. They will share their experiences, talk about the shows their brands participated in, and explain the mission of fashion shows in promoting a brand.
PROGRAM:
- What can we expect from the International Fashion Week UF LAB?
- What types of fashion collections exist, and how do they differ?
