Concept

begLOVA is more than a premium sportswear brand; it's a new community of real women who successfully balance different social statuses. They want to feel confident and comfortable whether they are walking with their children, jogging, attending business meetings, or going on romantic dates. Additionally, begLOVA takes an active social and charitable stance, aiming to show that a love for movement makes the world a better place.

Brand History

Elena Beglova, a well-known basketball player and master of sports of international class, has been using clothing from premium global brands for years in her training and daily life. With their departure from the Russian market, the question arose of what to replace them with. Her perfectionism and habit of achieving goals led to the idea of creating her own brand.

 

In partnership with Marusya Vaulina (owner of the brand After 23.05), the begLOVA project was born in 2023. Clothing and accessories for two lines—sports and casual—are produced at their own facility in Yekaterinburg.

Ideal time for creativity?
Morning. I always quickly get into the work process. By evening, my enthusiasm wanes
Music track for setting the mood?
Sometimes I play classical music to fully immerse myself in creativity. But more often, it's something dynamic, like Jennifer Lopez or Britney Spears. Something from those times
Item from the brand you'd want to wear continuously?
Marusya: I don't take off our zip-ups and tank tops. I wear them to the office, events, and even to bed
What item would you pass on to your grandchildren with the words: "Let this remind you of me"?
I would pass on my book, which I wrote in 2023. It tells all about me and my journey in sports. I hope it will inspire and support future generations
Favorite/Least favorite part of the fashion process?
Elena: Fitting! The moment you put on a finished technical sample (probably the final one) and think, "I like this!" Least favorite is choosing materials. I'm a perfectionist and search long for the perfect option. Marusya: I find PR and public activities difficult. Probably because it's still unfamiliar to talk about our brand
Historical or literary character you'd make the face of the brand?
Marusya: Joan of Arc—a girl followed by millions. Elena: And Catherine the Great. Imagine her image on a T-shirt! How do you feel today? At least like Catherine!
Which scent is most in tune with the brand?
My favorite scents are fresh notes of verbena and lime
Ideal location in the Urals for a collection shoot?
I love Sysert, with its beautiful natural and historical spots. This city immediately won my heart
Advice to your younger self at the start of the creative journey?
You're venturing into something new and unknown, but only this way can you grow. Believe this is your path, and you'll find it interesting!
Celebrity collaboration dream?
Elena: With 12storeez. I respect the guys a lot, have been following Irina, and watch their interviews. Their view on fashion and brand development resonates with me. Marusya: They are indeed industry giants to look up to
What will change fashion soon?
Marusya: Definitely the power of collaborations, unity, and community. The more united we are, the stronger and more active we become. I believe that healthy competition within the industry is a powerful growth stimulus
